There are alternatives if you do not feel that a Trust Deed is right for you, these include:

IVA

An IVA is the equivalent to a Trust Deed for those resident in England, Wales or Northern Ireland. It is best suited for those with unsecured debts over £15,000.

Debts Management

Debts Management is an informal agreement with your creditors where you only pay a monthly amount that you can afford. 

Secured Loan

A Secured Loan allows you to consolidate your existing unsecured debts with one lower-interest loan.

Entering into an IVA may adversely affect your credit rating for up to six years from the date of approval.

Your property will be protected within an IVA but you may be required to release all or part of any equity during the period of the arrangement.

Failure to complete the term of an IVA can result in bankruptcy.

(In Scotland, a PTD is the equivalent to an IVA.)
